인간은 감정을 통해 세계를 이해합니다. 문화교차학과는 감정을 단순한 반응이나 해석의 대상이 아니라, 몸의 본성에서 필연적으로 발생하는 존재의 원리로 이해합니다.
이 이해를 바탕으로 문화, 예술, 심리, 사회, 치유를 하나의 학문 체계로 통합합니다. 이것이 감정과학(Science of Feelings)을 중심으로 한 문화교차학의 출발점입니다.
감정의 본성을 이해함으로써 인간 존재의 근본 구조를 탐구합니다.
표현과 기술을 넘어, 예술의 본질과 의미 구조를 해명합니다.
감정과학에 근거하여 사회와 인간의 행동을 다양한 문화 체계 속에서 이해합니다.
한국의 '정(情)' 문화가 세계적 문화로 확장되는 원리를 탐구합니다.
누구나 시작할 수 있는 학문
문화교차학은 특정한 배경을 요구하지 않습니다. 학문의 출발점은 지식이 아니라 자기 감정에 대한 명백한 이해이기 때문입니다.
전공이 달라도, 나이가 달라도, 살아온 삶이 달라도 — 이해하고자 하는 의지가 있다면 누구나 이 학문을 시작할 수 있습니다.
자기 감정을 자기 스스로 이해하는 것은 당연한 일입니다. 그리고 그 이해 위에서, 인간은 자기 감정을 순수지선으로 사랑할 수 있습니다.
2년 4학기 수료 과정
본 학과는 2년 4학기 과정으로 운영됩니다. 학생의 준비 상태에 따라 두 가지 트랙이 가능합니다.
- 4학기 수료 후 논문 시작
- 충분한 연구 축적 후 예비심사
→학문의 깊이를 충분히 확보하고자 하는 경우에 적합합니다.
- 3학기부터 예비심사 가능
- 논문 조기 진행 및 졸업
→준비가 되어 있는 경우, 빠른 연구 완성이 가능합니다.
가장 중요한 기준은 단 하나입니다. 학과는 이를 기준으로 학생 각자의 속도와 방향을 존중합니다.
함께 뛰는 학과
문화교차학과는 단순한 교육 기관이 아닙니다. 학과와 지도교수는 학생의 연구가 완성될 때까지 옆에서 함께 뛰며, 끝까지 돕습니다.
What You Will Study
Humans understand the world through feeling. X-Cultural Studies treats feeling not as mere reaction or object of interpretation, but as the very principle of existence — arising necessarily from the nature of the body.
From this foundation, the department integrates culture, art, psychology, society, and healing into a single scholarly framework. This is the starting point of X-Cultural Studies, centered on the Science of Feelings.
Explores the fundamental structure of human existence by understanding the nature of feeling.
Goes beyond expression and technique to illuminate the essence and meaning structure of art.
Grounded in the Science of Feelings, understands human behavior and society across diverse cultural systems.
Explores the principles by which Korea's culture of Jeong (情) expands into a global phenomenon.
A Discipline Without Prerequisites
X-Cultural Studies requires no specific background. The starting point of this scholarship is not prior knowledge, but a clear, self-evident understanding of one's own feelings.
Regardless of your field, your age, or the path you have taken — if you have the will to understand, you can begin this discipline.
To understand one's own feelings is the most natural thing in the world. And from that understanding, one can love one's own feelings as the highest good.
Two-Year, Four-Semester Curriculum
The program runs for two years over four semesters. Depending on your readiness, two paths are available.
- Begin thesis after completing all four semesters
- Preliminary review follows sustained research
→Ideal for those who wish to build deep scholarly foundations before writing.
- Preliminary review available from the third semester
- Early thesis completion and graduation
→For those who arrive well-prepared and wish to complete research efficiently.
This is the one and only criterion that matters. The department respects each student's individual pace and direction accordingly.

人类通过情感理解世界。文化交叉学系将情感视为人类存在的根本原理——而非单纯的反应或解读对象——它必然地从身体的本性中涌现而出。
基于这一理解，本学系将文化、艺术、心理、社会与治愈整合为一套统一的学术体系。这正是以情感科学（Science of Feelings）为核心的文化交叉学的起点。
通过理解情感的本质，探索人类存在的根本结构。
超越表现与技法，阐明艺术的本质与意义结构。
以情感科学为基础，在多元文化体系中理解人类行为与社会。
探索韩国"情（정）"文化扩展为世界性文化现象的内在原理。
人人皆可入学的学问
文化交叉学不设专业门槛。学问的起点不是既有的知识，而是对自身情感的清晰理解。
无论专业背景、年龄、人生经历如何，只要怀有理解的意志，任何人都可以开始这门学问。
理解自身的情感，本是理所当然之事。在此基础上，人能够以最纯粹、最善的方式去爱自己的情感——退溪称之为"理发气随"，斯宾诺莎则称之为 Amor Dei Intellectualis。
两年四学期修业制
本学系实行两年四学期制，根据学生的准备程度，提供以下两种学习路径。
- 完成四学期后正式开始撰写论文
- 充分积累研究成果后进行预备审查
→适合希望充分奠定学术根基再着手论文的学生。
- 第三学期起即可申请预备审查
- 提前推进论文并提早毕业
→适合已有充分准备、希望高效完成研究的学生。
唯一的标准就是这一点。学系尊重每位学生各自的节奏与方向。

文化交叉学系不仅仅是一个教育机构。学系与指导教授将陪伴每一位学生，直至其研究圆满完成——全程相伴，始终如一。
